  As a student, I was bright but overlooked—placed in special education despite consistently outperforming expectations. Later, in college as an information technology major, I found myself bored, studying skills I’d already mastered. This disconnect followed me into my teaching career, where I saw countless talented students underachieving, not because they lacked potential, but because traditional education did not do a good job of identifying and challenging them. Driven by personal and professional experience, Sesley and I created Lighthouse Leadership Academy. We empower ambitious students by combining rigorous academics, leadership training, industry certification, and real-world experiences, ensuring they're college-ready, workforce-prepared, and financially empowered—upon graduation.
